Founded over 70 years ago, it grew from an initial hospital established in Cairo. This story shows vets from the Cairo hospital caring for donkeys at the Helwan brick kilns. |

Majma
Majma is an annual oriental dancing festival which takes place in Glastonbury. The event which is attended by amateur dancers from all over the UK puts on workshops and professional shows. The following photos give a flavour of the event. |

St Katherine's Monastery, Sinai
A series of landscapes and portraits based around the Jebilliya, the Bedouin tribe based in St. Katherine, whose ancestors' role was to defend St. Katherine's monastery. Now most Jebilliya derive their income from tourism or by servicing the monastery. |

Stories
It is a paradox that as visual representations have become more and more important in selling newspapers and magazines, the photostory has been marginalised in favour or lifestyle pieces. However, as people become more disenchanted with the homogenous diet on offer and photographers embrace new ways of distribution permitted by the internet, the photostory may yet be due a revival. Let's hope so anyway as they are great fun to shoot. |
